Black & Decker NPP2018B 18 Volt Cordless Pole Chain Saw - Bare Tool (No Battery Or Charger)

This product works great if used for it's intended purpose, smaller branches. I have cut branches up to 6 inches with it, love it. Only two complaints, tough to make the first cut from underneath as recommended and the pole would be better if it was more rigid.

Troy-Bilt TB57 20 Volt Lithium Ion Cordless String Trimmer

I purchased the TB57 from a different distributor and it worked well out of the box. After a couple weeks though it stopped working and after checking everything (battery, charger was O.K. No physical damage) I returned to the store which exchanged for a new one. The 2nd unit worked for a little more than a year when the same problem occurred. Contacting various Troy Bilt distributors and checking online for repair parts I found out the only parts available are the battery and the charger. Troy Bilt says this unit ($150!) is a "Throw-away". There are only 2 working electrical parts in this - the motor and the speed control module. Apparently the speed control can fail during a low battery charge and high motor load (max motor current). A little more than a year and now this unit is garbage! With this "Throw-away" attitude from MTD/Troy-Bilt do not buy their products! It worked good once but now its trash.

Black & Decker LPP120 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Pole Saw

This is a nice cordless pole saw that has lasting battery which allowed me to trim a very large tree on a single charge. The only drawback might be the manual oiling of the chain prior to each use, and a wrench needed to adjust the tension. Overall, I love my saw!

WORX WG308 6-Inch 5-Amp Electric JawSaw with Extension Handle

It is too top heavy with the extension, as the motor is at the business end of the unit, making it very difficult (and somewhat dangerous) to use to reach for higher branches. But it cuts well. Lower branches hidden in the bushes are easy to reach and cut.

WORX WG307 6-Inch 5-Amp Electric JawSaw

This item was fantastic to work with! After our big tree smashing snowstorm in the Northeast this October I needed a power saw. I was always leary of chainsaws as I have had friends who lost fingers and the potential of kickback is another issue. However this item was just what the doctor ordered. I made short work of many log branches simply by pressing down on the handle while it is placed inside the jaws of the saw. Any kickback of the wood gets caught in the jaws. What an ingenous design! I would highly recommend it if you have medium size branches to cut!

Greenworks 21602 20-Volt Lithium Ion 12-Inch Cordless Electric String Trimmer/Edger with 6 Amp/Hour Extended Run-Time Lithium Ion Battery & Charger

I unpacked and assembled the weed trimmer the same day it arrived. Easily done. During the first and only time I was able to use it, the weed trimmer began to smoke in less than 20 minutes of use. I let it cool off and tried again. It wouldn't run more than about 10 seconds so I gave up.The manual says not to use the machine if it smokes. The manual has only a phone number to use to contact Greenworks. There is no mailing address, fax number or email address. I called the Greenworks number to talk about the warranty. After a 12 minute hold, I told a person about the problem. I was told that someone would call me within an hour for a "resolution." After two days without a call from Greenworks, I called again. This time I was on hold for 15 minutes when I gave up. I never heard from Greenworks after my first call. I then used the order confirmation email from Amazon to contact Amazon by email about the problem. That same day Amazon sent a new weed trimmer by overnight mail, even though I only paid for the lowest cost delivery on the original order. Amazon gave me about 30 days to return the old weed trimmer or I would have been charged for the replacement weed trimmer. My conclusion is that the warranty by Greenworks is worthless but Amazon stands behind the product.I haven't had any problem with the replacement weed trimmer. It has almost as much power as a gas trimmer, as other reviewers said. I used it on thick grass under my wrought iron fence where the grass was…

Black & Decker NLP1800 Alligator Lopper 18-Volt Cordless Chain Saw

A great little saw. My family and friends have all bee impressed with this little chain saw. And because of the design, It is safe enough for my children (older than 12) to use. Because it is set up like hedge clippers, you do not have to hold, or hold down what you are cutting. As a matter of fact, you have to squeeze both handles, so your hands are always out of the way. And because it grabs from both sides of the work, you do not have to hold anything under your foot. Also, the guards keep the chain out of the dirt (and feet), so it stays sharp much longer than your normal chain saw. I have cut thru 4" and larger logs regularly.I have 2 of these, and 10 batteries (I got 3 free batteries thru Amazon promotions!!!) I also have the 8" pruning chain saw on a pole, and the Grasshog and hedge trimmer on a pole. The 5th star is missing because the charger is so lame. It should indicate when the charge is full, and when the battery is shot. It only indicates when a battery is in it. not too useful of an indicator. I get about 15 minutes of cutting our of a charge.

Black & Decker NPT318 18-Volt Cordless Electric Pole Hedge Trimmer

When I needed a pole trimmer, the reviews in Amazon convinced me to give this one a try. First time out I used it for about 30 minutes (combined sustained operation). The battery held up admirably with no sign of losing power. It trimmed through everything up to about 1/3 of an inch without a problem. 1/2 an inch and above slowed it down and stalled it on several occasions. I bought this with the knowledge that this isn't a gas powered unit or heavy duty electric model with that kind of performance. My high trimming is mostly ligt duty and a good match for what this trimmer is capable of. It can be a little unwieldly but if you can operate a gas powered or heavy duty electric weed eater, this won't be a problem. I have other battery powered tools and usually get two to three years of light duty service before the battery stops holding a charge. I'd guess similar service from this. Replacement batteries are about 50 dollars. Note that you should store batteries inside or in an otherwise climate controlled environment (above +/- 60 degrees F). It's very quiet relative to another electric trimmer I own. In summation, if you need the reach of a pole trimmer for light duty and short duration trimming (+/- 20 minutes in my estimation), I can recommend this one.

Great product as well as a great system from Black & Decker. They have multi tools available for the 20v line. The chain saw works great for small jobs. Battery life is great. The best part, if you have more tools from the 20v family, you will have several extra batteries and chargers.

WORX WG250 20-Inch 18-Volt Cordless Electric Hedge Trimmer

Works really well. Wish the battery would last a little longer, but for medium size jobs, this is the ticket! Very well constructed and Amazon is the only place I'll purchase any of these products in the future. I received a bad trimmer and they sent a replacement immediately with return instructions of the old one, which was also postage paid. That's real customer service! I had thrown away the packaging material from the first one, but was able to use the packaging from the replacement to send back the defective one. Wouldn't have been able to do it if I had to return the bad one first! Thanks Amazon! I'm a customer for life!

Black & Decker NPP2018 18-Volt Cordless Electric Pole Chain Saw

Assembly was straightfoward and easy. In my first attempt at using it, I took down several branches ranging from 1 to 8 inches. They all came down quickly without my breaking a sweat. Based on this first experience, the B&D Cordless 18 Volt Pole Pruning Saw appears to me to be well designed, well made, and very easy to use. I anticipate I will be using this B&D saw for the majority of small jobs for which I previously used my gas powered chain saw.

Earthwise CVPH41018 18-Inch 2.8 Amp Electric 2-in-1 Pole/Hand Held Hedge Trimmer

I previously had the Remmington Pole Hedge Trimmer which burned out. After looking at reviews, Earthwise seemed to be better constructed and more reliable. From initial use, I am very pleased with it. It cuts well, feels solid, and extends as long as would be practical. It does tend to be heavy which is only a problem if you are trimming while not holding it vertical (while extended). I also am pleased with how the pole quickly detaches to make a standard hedge trimmer.

Black & Decker CMM1200 19-Inch 24-Volt Cordless Electric Mulching Lawn Mower

In the summer of 2006, my Toro mower was not doing so well so I started looking for a replacement. I went online and read reviews of various mowers including cordless mowers. I opted to purchase another Toro. A couple of months ago, someone went into my backyard and walked off with my mower so there I was spending another afternoon online shopping for mowers. After researching for hours, I decided to go ahead, throw caution to the wind, and purchase the Black & Decker Cordless 24-Volt Mulching Mower #CMM1200. I wasn't disappointed. My yard is approximately one third the size of the recommended cutting area of one third acre. I estimate my yard to be a typical size (not including a house located on a corner). The mower has plenty of power to complete the job. One reviewer complained about the plastic which I found to be solid on the mower. I'd rather have plastic since the bottom inside of steel decked mowers always loose their paint. Another reviewer complained about the CMM1200 missing sections of the lawn. On first try, I had the same experience. What you have to do is overshoot the end of your row a little, pull pack, then change your direction. Since this is a mulching mower, keep in mind that your grass needs to be free of moisture when you cut. Also, keep the width of your rows the width of the front your mower (do not include the wheels!). I now have a beautifully manicured lawn that could be on the cover of "American Beautiful Lawn". My lawn is relatively…

Earthwise PS40008 8-Inch 6 amp Electric Telescopic Pole Saw with 3-Position Head and 10-Foot Reach

The pole saw is great. I have used it to trim some pretty good sized limbs from some overgrown trees in my yard. The only problem is the weight of the motor at the end of the pole. The answer to that, however, if you are standing on the ground stand directly under the limb you want to cut, lift the saw straight up to the limb, then back off to the length of the pole. From a ladder it is a little different story but not something that can not be over come with a little bit of thought.By the way I am 75 years old so if I can handle it I would think most anyone can.
